Rougher weekend!

Man, it's been a rough weekend!

First things first - after they got over their mild cold last week. Hunter and Isaac had a little runny nose and Isaac had a slight fever, so he didn't get his shots at their 6 month checkup on Thursday. Hunter went ahead and got his shots.

They both are doing really well in growth. For Isaac and Hunter, their length was 25 1/2" and 26" respectively (10-25th percentile). And their weight was 16lbs, 5.5oz and 16 lbs, 8oz, respectively (25-50 percentile). Their heads were both 44" (50-75th percentile). Yes, I know, they have big heads. My mom says it runs in my family, so guess they're stuck with 'em. ;)

On Friday, Hunter started running a fever, which we assumed was a response from the shots - WRONG! His fever lasted all weekend, and even got over 103! He has been screaming almost inconsolably all weekend (except drastic mommy measures - which wiped me totally out) - the screaming happened every 3-4 hours or so (after his meds wore off).

And last night, Isaac started the inconsolable screaming. Needless to say, we missed church on Sunday, and took the boys into the doctor this morning. Turns out, Hunter has an ear infection in both ears, and Isaac has it in one ear. We got some antibiotics, and hope to be a scream-free zone by Wednesday.

As far as our sleep goes and the boys schedule, it is pretty much non-existant. We've been up every 2 hours with a screaming baby. I think I got 3 hours of sleep each night for the last 2 nights (I did take a 3 hour nap yesterday, though). Dustin took off today to spend with them since they are pretty difficult to manage for 1 person. Maybe he'll try to take a nap, too. But we've both said that our sleep is not so important - the boys getting better is what's more important. We really love those little guys! It breaks my heart to see them in pain - we've been on our knees praying a bunch.

Anyways, it has been pretty stressful around the Scott house for the last few days. We're ready to see the sweet side of our little boys again. I miss the sweet laughs, and cuddling with Momma - I'm sure they do too.
